The State Referee Committee (SRC) is hosting an Advanced Re-Certification clinic on Sunday, August 4th at Northgate High School from 9 AM - 4 PM. Check in will begin at 8:30 AM. Lunch will be provided from 12 PM - 1 PM.
FIFA Referee Drew Fischer, FIFA Assistant Referee Corey Rockwell, and PRO Assistant Referee Nick Uranga will be our instructors. Fischer is fresh off the Women's World Cup where he served as a VAR. Rockwell attended the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and is in the selection process for 2022. Uranga is a Powder Springs, GA native that quickly rose through the Georgia Soccer ranks and has worked the NWSL Championship match, USL Cup Final, and MLS All-Star game in 2018. Together they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience at both the professional and international level.
Registration is available in the US Soccer Learning Center (LC). If you have not already done so, follow directions on the Grassroots Referee Re-Certification page for creating a profile in the Learning Center as well as completing SafeSport training. The Background Check should be available inside the Learning Center by the end of July.
Dress Code: dress shoes, pants, USSF or Georgia Soccer polo.
You must register and pay for each course for which you are currently licensed and wish to re-certify in 2020.
Do NOT register for a course for which you do not have a license.
There are eight (8) individual courses in the LC for this single August 4th clinic. As an alternative to searching for the correct course in the LC, click on the hyperlinks below for each course once you have created your LC profile.
- Grassroots Referee
- Optional course for referees wishing to recertify in 2020 as a Grassroots Referee.
- Only register for this course if you are a current 2019 Grade 8 or Grade 7 referee
- Attending this course satisfies the In-Person Re-certification requirement for the 2020 Grassroots license
- Attendance will be capped to the first 140 referees who register
- optional for assignors that wish to attend
Attendance for the below licenses is mandatory:
Again, register for ONLY those courses for which you have a current license. If you have multiple licenses, you must register for each of them individually. For some, that may be up to four courses.
If you have more than one license, do not repeat identical assignments (Safe & Healthy Playing Environments, Quizzes, etc.). US Soccer is working to correct the issue so that these assignments will transfer to other courses once they are completed.
If you are unable to attend the August 4th clinic, and wish to recertify with any of the above six licenses, you must receive written permission via email from the SRA for an excused attendance. Regardless, you must still utilize the above courses to process your registration even if you will not physically be in attendance.
