From Florida Youth Soccer:

Please join us in sunny Tampa, FL on April 1-3 for the US Youth Soccer RI/RIII TOPSoccer Symposium, hosted by Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA). The event is being held at the Tampa Marriott Westshore, and will feature a variety of presentations and speakers, as well as a visit to a nearby TOPSoccer program. By combining forces with RI this year, we can provide a higher quality event at a lower cost, and increase attendance to foster broader sharing of best practices.

For people coming from out of town and staying at the Marriott, there is no fee to attend the Symposium. Details for registering are on the attached flier. I suggest that you start with hotel reservations, as the room block rate expires on March 11. Note that I have pasted in a link to the group reservation website below, in case you prefer to book online. Also, please give the FYSA staff a day or two to get the Symposium online registration link up and running.

We have a few special events and new traditions planned for the Symposium. There is an optional evening activity of attending a Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL) soccer match in nearby St. Petersburg. There will be a check box on the Symposium registration page where attendees can indicate if they are interested in attending, and tickets are expected to cost between $15-$20.

We are also encouraging attendees to bring a unused t-shirt or two from their state association or a local TOPSoccer program to swap with someone else. For example, I will be bringing several of our red Buddy t-shirts as examples and for swapping.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to pass this invitation along to your colleagues and local TOPSoccer programs in case they are interested. We are expecting 50 people, but if have more than that we can expand our meeting room space and accommodate plenty more.
