ODP Talent ID / Tryouts 2026 – 2027 Registration Information
What is tryout process at the State Level?
All prospective players must register to be scouted by the state’s Scouting Network of coaches from the State and Region ODP staff members.
Talent Identification and Scouting of players has begun to take place during the Spring season and will continue throughout the calendar year. All players in Georgia are invited to participate in this process; players identified during this stage will be invited to attend the respective age group training session(s) for the next phase of the evaluation process. There may also be multiple evaluation opportunities to be evaluated at club training/matches as well as ensuring that a proper evaluation takes place for every registered player.
Typically, between 50 to 60 players are selected to represent the Georgia ODP pool team at each age group but there is not a fixed number and is dependent on quality.
What is the Tryout Fee?
For the 2026 – 2027 ODP cycle year, the fee is $55 and includes a Talent ID / training shirt.
Eligible Age Groups
Players born in 2008 through 2018 (Players born in the specific calendar year January 1 to December 31) make up the ODP age groups’ pools. The 2015/16 age group will be the Pre-ODP group and part of the ODP family of players (this year, we will be scouting and evaluating 2017/18 players will be considered for joining the 2015 group).
Introducing ODP+ (2008 & 2009 players) for the upcoming cycle to support players that wish to continue to play in this environment and have an elevated level of preparation for college bound student athletes.

- Please note below the initial training/tryout sessions by specific age group and gender for the registered (2008 to 2018) players.
- REMINDER PLEASE: There are NO “walk-up” tryouts; all players must be REGISTERED for tryouts and processed through the scouting and / or identification to be evaluated at tryout dates below.
- The Scout team will lead the evaluation process and be in contact with each player (once registered); this may include a visit to the player’s training, a match and likely an invitation to an ODP training session for final evaluation/assessment by the respective age group staff.
- Please DO NOT show up to the training sessions/tryout locations without proper registration.
