Board of Directors

The Georgia Soccer Board of Directors awards this scholarship to high schools seniors who demonstrate excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

Criteria: All applicants must be high school seniors participating in Georgia Soccer programs for the current seasonal year (2023-2024) as a player, referee, coach or volunteer, Applicants must show plans to attend a four-year college/university beginning in fall 2024. Applicants should also have both exemplary academic and extra-curricular résumés. 

Deadline: Applications open for fall 2024. Deadline is June 9, 2024.


Rich Freeman

The Rich Freeman Scholarship is awarded in memory of former Georgia Soccer staff member Rich Freeman. As our Senior Member Administrator, Rich was the technical expert, chaplain and the one everyone came to the office to see. He was never too busy to help, and no job was ever too big or too small. 

Criteria: All applicants must be high school seniors currently participating in Georgia Soccer (2023-2024) as a player, referee, coach, volunteer, etc., and have plans to attend a two-year or four-year college/university beginning in fall 2024. Applicants should have a minimum 2.5 GPA and a strong record of community service.

Deadline: Applications open for fall 2024. Deadline is June 9, 2024.


Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame Scholarship is given on behalf of the members of the Georgia Soccer Hall of Fame. These individuals represent the very best that Georgia has to offer the world of soccer. The Georgia Soccer Hall of Fame members have significant and lifetime achievements for soccer in Georgia to their name, and this scholarship is given to the next generation in their honor.

Criteria: All applicants must be high school seniors currently participating in Georgia Soccer (2023-2024) as a player, referee, coach, volunteer, etc. They must show plans to attend a four-year college/university beginning in fall 2024 and to play soccer at that school. Applicants should also have both an exemplary academic and extra-curricular resumé.

Deadline: Applications open for fall 2024. Deadline is June 9, 2024.
