HomeGEORGIA SOCCER REFEREE ACADEMY

GEORGIA SOCCER REFEREE ACADEMY

What is Referee Academy?

The Referee Academy exists to provide an opportunity for those referees who desire to be leaders in their local grassroots referee programs and be a part of a group of like-minded referees who strive to become better referees both on and off the field.

Referee Academy members and candidates will have the opportunity to participate in additional training, referee academies at tournaments, field training events, and online educational events that stress mastery of the Laws of the Game.  They will also be put in contact with Regional and National Referees for mentorship and guidance.

These training and educational opportunities are provided at no cost to Referee Academy members.

When reviewing potential candidates for various events such as USYS Southern Regionals or USASA Amateur Regionals, the State Referee Committee will give priority of invitations to active members of the Referee Academy prior to inviting other certified referees.
